Chassis Technology Integration

Lotus' intrinsic understanding of driving dynamics puts us in an excellent position to develop and evaluate the viability of new chassis concepts and technologies. There is a multitude of new technologies that offer potential driving dynamics improvements or that have other vehicle benefits that will impact on driving dynamics. Examples include: adaptable dampers, magneto-rheological dampers, 'by-wire' technologies, electric hub mounted motors and the list goes on.

How these technologies affect the driving dynamics of a vehicle, either in isolation or in combination with other systems is very dependent on their integration, both mechanically and electronically. Lotus holistic approach to driving dynamics allows us to assess the suitability of different systems for a particular vehicle and to integrate them in a way that maximises their potential. In this way, we help clients determine the best way to meet future product ambitions.
