Certification

Lotus Cars Limited and its trading division Lotus Engineering are currently certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2008.

This standard is based on the promotion of eight quality management principles which ensure that, at Lotus, we produce products and services that are of a consistently high quality and meet the requirements of our customers. The eight principles of our Quality Management System are: customer focus; leadership; involvement of people; a process approach; a systematic approach to management; continual improvement; a factual approach to decision making and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.

Lotus has held an internationally recognised Quality System Certificate since December 1997 when it was first certified to QS9000. Since that time, the processes and systems within the company have developed and evolved to the changing requirements of this internationally recognised standard. In January 2002, Lotus achieved certification to the new 'BS EN ISO 9001:2000' standard, upgrading to ISO9001:2008 in November 2009.

Registration to BS EN ISO 9001:2008, a globally recognised standard, helps ensure that all our customers receive the highest quality product possible and that proactive measures such as continuous improvement are carried out on an ongoing basis throughout the group.
